This weekend, a half dozen girls headed up north for the last cottage weekend of the summer, with lots to celebrate: birthdays engagements, and getting all 6 girls together for a whole weekend!
Friday evening began with surprise birthday decorations, Creamsicle drinks, birthday cupcakes, shutter shades and presents:
Saturday dawned cool, cloudy and wet; so we did the only logical things to do at the cottage when it rains- build a fire, make s’mores for breakfast, and proceed to make a diligent effort at drinking the ridiculous amount of alcohol present.
It included, but was not limited to: making DIY Anthropologie- inspired margarita glasses, surprise engagement gifts, scavenger hunts that consisted of post-its, shots, and candy, and bellinis with edible glitter
Sunday was beautiful, thank goodness, because for those of us who had to drive, the drinking was no bueno. So we got our tan on, soaking in the last bits of summer at the cottage, and finished all the bags of chips, candy and snacks that were leftover for breakfast, before packing up, closing the cottage for the winter, and making our way home. And so ends a weekend that went much too quickly, full of sugar and champagne, party decorations and edible glitter, celebrating big milestones with amazing friends ♥.
